Slide 1. today I would like to present some examples of control systems. Control systems are very important in mechatronics and engineering. They are used to automatically control machines and processes.

Control system is a system which manages, commands, directs, or regulates the behavior of other devices

układ sterujący jest Systemem, który zarządza, wydaje polecenia, kieruje lub reguluje zachowanie innych urządzeń.

Everyday examples: Thermostat in a heater, Cruise control in a car, motion sensor, wall mounted thermostat, pressure switch

Codzienne przykłady: Termostat w grzejniku, Tempomat w samochodzie, czujnik ruchu, termostat naścienny ogrzewania, presostat do kompresora

Through the input, the control system receives a signal from outside, while through the output it sends a signal that has already been processed

Przez wejście układ sterujący otrzymuje sygnał z zewnątrz, natomiast przez wyjście wysyła sygnał już przetworzony

Controller is element of the system who makes decisions about its operation.

Regulator jest elementem układu który podejmuje decyzje dotyczące działania.

An actuator in a control system is a component that performs physical actions directly on the controlled object based on signals received from the controller.

Element wykonawczy układu sterowania to komponent automatyki, który realizuje fizyczne działania bezpośrednio na obiekcie sterowania, działając na podstawie sygnałów otrzymywanych z regulatora.

The controlled object is a device (or process) that is deliberately influenced in order to achieve a desired behavior or response.

Obiekt sterowania to urządzenie (lub proces), na które oddziałuje się w sposób celowy w celu uzyskania pożądanego zachowania lub przebiegu.

A sensor is a measuring device that converts physical quantities into signals

Zalety: Prosty, tani, stabilny

Disadvantages: Cannot correct errors, no adaptation

Wady: Nie koryguje błędów, nie dostosowuje się
