Istanbul

Istanbul is the biggest and most important city of Turkey. It is a must visit if it's your first time in Turkey. There are plenty of sights and things to discover and it may take several days to make best of it.
Hagia Sophia

It was built between 532-537 by Byzantian emperor I. Justiniaus. Later when Ottomans conquered Istanbul, it was converted to a mosque. Now it is open for visitors as a museum. It is one of the historical architectural wonders.
Blue Mosque

Original name is Sultan Ahmet Cami; because it was decorated with blue tiles, it is called as Blue Mosque by Europeans. It was built between 1609-1616. The complex also consists the tomb of founder, a school and a hospice.
Topkapı Palace

It was residence of Ottoman dynasty for 400 years. The complex consists of four main courtyards and many smaller buildings. Female members lived in the harem, and leading state officials, including the Grand vezir, held meetings in the Council building.
Basilica Cistern

It was the major underground water reservoir of Constantinople. There are 336 giant columns supporting the structure. You could see two Medusa head statues inside the cistern.
Galata Tower

Rebuilt by Geneose in 1348, it is a 69 metres medieval stone tower. It offers a panoramic view of Istanbul and it is rumoured that an inventor Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi flew over Boshporus using artificial wings.
